Shutter Styles
ShutterLand offers three styles of outdoor shutters. The most common style uses fixed louvers louvers with three available louver sizes. Raised panel shutters are also very popular. These outdoor shutters offer the most protection from the elements when rotated to a closed position over the window. Combination shutters incorporates both louvers and raised panels in the same shutter.

Each exterior shutter is constructed using kiln-dried cedar for optimum quality. Each style uses the same quality of construction, but offers a unique characteristic. Often exterior home style or geographic areas tend to use a particular style of outdoor shutters. A simple internet image search for your house style (Cape Cod, Dutch Colonial, Farmhouse, Mid-Century modern, Southern plantation, Split level, Victorian, etc.) will reveal multiple pictures providing initial inspiration. Next, explore the neighborhoods and surrounding homes in your area. Usually, a theme will unfold assisting in making a final decision. Finally, remember that your house reflects your style and exterior shutter styles are pretty universal.
